Anyone who knows Right Revenue knows how passionate we are about spreading the revenue management love and making access to revenue knowledge easy and affordable for all. Revenue really does rock! So, we am delighted to announce an exciting new partnership that will support us in our mission to empower hoteliers with revenue skills and foster a revenue-focused culture within their organisation.
In collaboration with Revenue Academy, the training arm of Revenue by Design, we are excited to offer Right Revenue's hotel partners an affordable and accessible way to provide revenue management training for all departments within their organisation.
The importance of revenue management
Revenue management is the backbone of a hotel’s profitability. If you have a commercial remit, you need a solid understanding of revenue management principles to make commercially robust decisions. It really is that simple. Only then can collaborative commercial discussions be made and those departmental silos that we talk about so often, and often hinder progress, be broken down.
While, as a sector, we have made progress in working more collaboratively, for many organisations, there is still a basic lack of understanding of fundamental revenue drivers outside of the revenue department. Here at Right Revenue, we want to provide our hotel partners with a cost-effective and accessible way to promote revenue management education and knowledge to all departments - be that front office, reservations, sales, marketing, finance, or operations - to help all to make informed contributions to commercial decisions to ultimately optimise profitability.
Our partnership with Revenue Academy will provide our hotel partners with the tools to develop their team's understanding of key revenue management principles at their own pace helping them excel commercially.
Why Revenue Academy?
Great partnerships come from a shared common goal, and Ally Northfield, Managing Director of Revenue by Design and Revenue Academy, and myself have long been aligned in our desire to spread revenue management knowledge beyond the confines of the revenue team. Ally is one of the most respected names in the industry so I know the training is of a superior quality. In addition, the structure of the training - bite-sized, interactive, and accessible modules that can be completed at the student's own pace - suits busy hoteliers, providing them with a user-friendly way to build revenue knowledge internally.
The three-fold impact for hotels
I am excited as I believe access to affordable training will benefit hoteliers in three ways.
